These are brand new, bought from Apple iPads, not refurbs, with official receipts with Apples on 'em and everything. I know for us it is a Verizon thing. Thanks all for the replies. There are conditions for what can be included in DEP from what I understand. Why did Apple say you can't enroll them? That usually only happens when they are refurbs from what I've saw.
Let me know if you have any questions/issues. That's the rough process, but like I said, it's really not as bad as you think once you get it templated out. Then, use JAMF Now to deploy the app, and if possible use JAMF Now to lock the iPad into Single App mode. Also, for the hell of it, just grab the unlock token. I'd recommend making a blueprint for this.

Use Configurator to install any iOS updates, mass enroll in JAMF Now, and supervise the iPads. Don't make the mistake of staking them though, as that stack will get really hot and some of the iPads will shutdown automatically. Has to be powered to keep the iPads charged. You'll want to get a powered USB hub, maybe like an 8 port from Anker or something, so that you can plug in multiple at a time.
